Alli’s most common side effects are ‘diet related treatment effects’ that are largely manageable. These effects are common with almost all appetite suppressants and weigth loss supplements
These can include:
* Wind (flatulence), with or without oily spotting
* Sudden bowel motions
* Fatty or oily stools
* Soft stools

I wouldn’t recommend using a weight loss pill. Try doing it naturally.
Try and eat around 1400 – 1600 calories a day. Also try and eat 5 – 6, 100 – 200 calorie meals a day and make up those calories with fruits, veggies, and proteins!
I found this site, It has some good information on getting a flat stomach, best fat burning exercises, crunches, and information on what foods you should eat and when to eat them:

all diet pills are bad for you. in order to lose weight AND keep it off you must have a healthy diet and exercise. once you go off diet pills you’ll gain all the weight back. diet pills make you lose weight quickly which is very unhealthy for your body.

i haven’t taken it because the only side affect that i have heard of from multiple people who have tried it is diarrhea. one of my friends tried it and she said it worked for her but if she ate too much she would pretty much be immediately thrown into the bathroom for a diarrhea session. my mother also tried it and said the same.

I would be very, very careful about taking anything like that. I’ve read reports of people being hospitalized after taking Alli. Most of these types of weight loss aides are really more like a crutch anyway – the only real way to lose weight is to eat healthy & exercise, that’s why most of these pills have tiny print saying something to the effect of "MAY help weight loss as part of a healthy diet & exercise regimen".
What’s more is that, the newer the pill, the less actual evaluation it’s gone through – think about that. They’re not going to know yet just how much it might affect people in, say, 10 years.
Seriously? Save your money and figure out a healthy, natural way to deal with your weight.

I took Alli for 2 months and also controlled my diet as per the instructions. I did lose weight – 5 pounds in 2 months. This is not a crash diet course. I never had any side effects but I gained back the weight immediately after I discontinued Alli.

It’s the only FDA and doctor approved pill for weight loss. They used to use speed (amphetamines) but people got addicted and shrivled up like prunes.
It’s good, what it does is to bind to the fat in the foods you eat, as so the calories of the fat cannot be absorbed or digested in the body.
It cannot cause any damage, especially at the recommened dose.
Only one side effect, since it binds to the fat so it cannot be absorbed you poop out the fat you eat. If you eat too much fat, your going to have a mess of a problem at the toilet. I mean bad diarrhea. And some people have had "accidents" away from a bathroom and toilet. So the recommende program is eating low fat foods And light excersise. good luck, hope you reach your goal.

There are very few diet pills that actually work for everyone, and those that do are normally prescribed by a physician who would monitor the use.
The scary truth is that many are based on he old "sugar pill" concept. Sell the public something they want, and even know it does very little the placebo will do nothing. Their own Perception of what the drug will do is powerful enough to cause the weight loss.
Many are filled with stimulants, or glucose, or other fillers that will just give you the false feeling of being full. This doesn’t work as your brain handles those desires, and you will still feel hungry.
If you are concerned about your weight I suggest you do it the right way and save money and time, go see your (or a) doctor. They will work with you and a dietitian to get you where you want to be. They know what they are doing, and following through with your goals is easier in steps.
Good Luck!

Ive tried Alli, and I had horrid side effects and even had to take a few days off of work because of it, despite my best efforts to follow the "low fat diet". Im taking another new diet pill called the fill pill. Ive been taking it 30 minutes before I eat and it seems to help me eat less because I feel full quicker than without it. Anyway, Ive lost about 10 pounds in the month and a half that I have been taking it off and on, and would have probably lost more had I taken it consistently. It doesn’t really have any side effects, which I liked. You just have to make sure to take it with a lot of water for it to work.

Hey,
I really wouldnt go with the weight loss pills. There not a healthy alternative to losing weight.
Seriously nothing is more better for you than nutrition and exercising im not talking about eating vegetables 24/7 and exercising an hour a day.
You can still eat nice foods and dont need to exercise excessivelly to lose weight.
Good Luck

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

i am going to give you advice as a person who IS ACTUALLY TAKING THE PILLS! not heard them from a friend, or any of that. ive taken it myself.
i have been taking alli for about a month (or less) and i have lost over 15 pounds. i am so happy i took it! i have had a few treatment effects, which were unpleasant (oily diarrhea) , but its only because i ate too much fat (over 15 grams) and it teaches you not to eat like that. IF YOU DONT EAT ALOT OF FAT, YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TREATMENT EFFECTS! i am so happy i took it. if you buy it, BUY THE STARTER PACK! it comes with tips, books, and a code that you enter in on myalli.com and it gives you a diet plan, a check in, and support. it makes you start a good habit of eating right and exercising. it is the ONLY FDA approved over the counter diet pill, so it should be safe, but all pills have a safety risk.
i try to exercise every day, at least 4 times a week. if you dont exercise, you wont loose as much weight, and it is a good habbit.
alli does not make you tired, dizzy, or nervous like other pills, and i have take alot of over the counter pills. i seriously recommend you buy them!! goodluck, they are so worth the money! im actually going to the store now to get a refill! <3
